When Beth Perlman joined Constellation Energy seven years ago, their IT department was a siloed organization with four different CIOs leading individual business units. In fact, she was the first corporate CIO and immediately set to work on making their IT run like a business. This meant establishing common platforms, systems infrastructure, and policies across the company, all while enabling Constellation Energy to continue growing more than 10 percent a year.
